Litigation support and expert testimony.

    Background: Education, training and many years of practical experience at sea in command and ashore in management in all facets of the industry. Work in marine operations management, shipyards, marine salvage, towing , offshore oil industry, tramp ships, liner services, small and large ships, fishing vessels, yacht (surveys, damage & repair, management) marine terminal operations, stevedoring and marine survey and consulting. Experience with union and non-union ships and US flag and non-US flag operations.

    Marine Consulting in the organization and analysis (efficiency, feasibility, profitability, etc.), planning and execution of marine operations; vessel and equipment location, selection and suitability; Project Management; analysis and start up of new trades and charters; vessel management; Owner's Representation in overhaul and repair; vessel crewing, outfitting, charter and purchase; terminal operations, training, contingency planning and regulatory compliance, underwriter compliance, contingency plans; marine salvage & towing; overhaul and repair specifications.

    Marine Survey of all types of commercial vessels, yachts and pleasure craft of all sizes; fishing vessels, tugs and barges, corporate yachts, marine facilities. Condition & Valuations, pre-purchase, insurance claims, damage and repair, trip-in-tow, extension of trading limits, suitability, appraisal for donation, accident & casualty investigation, non-exclusive Classification Survey.

    Litigation Support: Casualty & accident investigation, document review and analysis, deposition preparation, technical research and expert testimony in Marine Operations, Seamanship, Shiphandling, Rigging, Terminal Operations and Stevedoring. All from the perspective of both operations at sea and operations management ashore in ship construction and repair, marine operations, terminal operations and stevedoring.

    From a position of broad, practical experience at sea and ashore in operations and management of shipping companies, terminals and my own marine service company, consulting in many aspects of the day to day operations, analysis and execution of plans and projects, strategic plan development, analysis and reduction of risk, compliance with regulatory agencies and underwriter and industry standards; management of vessels, including husbanding and crewing, locating vessels & equipment, survey for suitability, condition & value.

    For small businesses, without a large or sophisticated management organization, we can assist in new market operational analysis, location and evaluation of the necessary equipment, start up and project management, regulatory and underwriter compliance as well as risk analysis and reduction.
